Pre-Sales Cloud Solutions Architect - CohesiveFT Chicago
We are looking for an experienced Pre-sales Solutions Architect to be technical lead on our Secure Cloud Container Solution sales. This solution comprises both software and complementary services designed to build software defined networks, help customers with virtual image automation and transformation, incorporate their applications into our "cloud container", and plug it into one or more of the major cloud or virtualization platforms, or both!
RESPONSIBILITIES
The key objectives of the role are to lead all technical elements of the sales cycle, to win new business and grow license and services revenues. Activities will include presentations and demos (f2f, webex, conferences), technical qualification, technical account management of proof of concepts, technical and competitive positioning, RFI/RFP responses and proposals, and work with our Implementation Consultants to grow accounts from within.
Also, Partners are important to our success, so winning, preparing and supporting them is key to achieving it. Territory is initially European-wide, although predominately UK timezone with some overseas travel.
We help customers migrate their multi-tier, multi-server, enterprise applications to cloud computing data centers using the CohesiveFT and affiliated partner products, in conjunction with the CohesiveFT's "Coalescence" migration process. We will help prepare you through the "Cohesive Class", a combination of 20 days of instructor led and self-guided education - and when you come out the other side you will be ready to sell virtual cloud containers to be shipped around the world as fast as the Internet can carry them.

You need to have the foundation knowledge and experience of enterprise software sales.

REQUIREMENTS
You need to have the foundation knowledge and experience of enterprise software sales.
- Strong technical background with a minimum of 48 months proven track record as presales engineer/solutions architect experience with enterprise software ISVs.
- Knowledge of IaaS, multi-tier, multi-server architectures.
- Proven success of selling solutions combining software and services.
- Strong customer communication skills; listening, verbal, written and presentation, and an ability to translate technical complexity to layman's terms.
- Candidates with experience of paid professional services roles will be given preference.
- Candidates with Internet visible technical blog or open source project participation will be given preference.
- Degree is highly desired; but willing to talk to experienced "wildcards" who can deliver despite the lack of academic credentials.
