Professional Services/Consulting Engineers
CohesiveFT's offices are on the 15th floor, near Union Station - but our attention is even higher "in the clouds" as our customers use almost 2 million hours per month of our Cloud Container Solution.
We are looking for experienced professional services team members to deliver implementation services for our Secure Cloud Container Solutions. This includes building software defined networks, helping customers with virtual image automation and transformation, incorporating their applications into our "cloud container", and plugging it into one of the major cloud or virtualization platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver professional services to help customers migrate their multi-tier, multi-server, enterprise applications to cloud computing data centers using the CohesiveFT and affiliated partner products, in conjunction with the CohesiveFT's "Coalescence" migration process. Most deliveries will be done collaboratively via the Internet, but will occasionally require some time spent on site with customers. The field of knowledge to deliver smooth customer migrations to the cloud is, to be blunt, huge. We learn it all, synthesize it, and incorporate it into our products and our migration libraries. You will go through the "Cohesive Class", a combination of 20 days of instructor led and self-guided education - and when you come out the other side you will be ready to build virtual cloud containers and ship them around the world as fast as the Internet can carry them.
REQUIREMENTS
You need to have the foundation knowledge and experience of installing, implementing and managing distributed enterprise systems, but part of life in the cloud (Infrastructure as a Service in case you were wondering), is a never ending stream of participants, competitors, partners and customers. If you like doing the same thing over and over again, this is not for you.
If you devour new knowledge, if your approach to problem solving is highly elastic, this might be it.

- Minimum of 24 months of paid professional services roles working with multi-tier, multi-server architectures.
- Expert in either Windows or Linux environments with some small "crossover" skills.
- Strong scripting skills; bash for Linux, and bat and Powershell for Windows, as appropriate.
- Database configuration experience.
- Version control skills; Git preferred.
- Candidates with experience using Amazon EC2 and related AWS services will receive SIGNIFICANT preference.
- Candidates with Internet visible technical blog or open source project participation will be given SIGNIFICANT preference.
- Computer Science Degree is highly desired; but willing to talk to experienced "wildcards" who can deliver despite the lack of formal credentials.
