Ruby - Python - Java SW Developers
We need all types here at CohesiveFT next to Union Station downtown Chicago.
Our offices are on the 15th floor - but our attention is even higher "in the clouds" as our customers use almost 2 million hours per month of our Cloud Container Solution.
We are looking to fill multiple positions for software developers, technical support staff, and implementation engineers. Please see our other adverts for details and to see if you or someone you know is the right person for the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Helping grow (define, design, code) our Cloud Computing products; Server3 Image Automation, VPN3 software defined networking, Context3 topology automation, as well as as yet unnamed future products.
REQUIREMENTS
Of course you need to have the essential coding skills to do the job, but part of life in the cloud (Infrastructure as a Service in case you were wondering) is a never ending stream of new knowledge, APIs, endpoints, engines and automations. If you like doing the same thing over and over again, this is not for you.
If you devour new knowledge, if your approach to problem solving is highly elastic, this might be it.
Location: Chicago Downtown
Compensation: Salary DOE, Bonus, Health Insurance, 3 weeks vacation, 8+ paid holidays.

- Multiple years of paid professional Ruby, Python and/or Java experience on infrastructure systems.
- Supplemental work on open source projects a plus.
- If you have done Erlang, Clojure, Objective-C and want to use Ruby or Python, keep us in mind.
- Linux or Windows based, multi-tier, multi-server application architectures.
- Git is our standard.
- Computer Science Degree is highly desired; but willing to talk to experienced "wildcards" who can deliver despite the lack of formal credentials.
- Candidates who have built event-oriented, asynchronous architectures will get preference.
