   Virtual Network Service™ (VNS), based on VPN-Cubed®, is the first production offering of complete Cloud Networking.  VNS provides virtual networking capabilities that are otherwise unavailable in the public, private, or hybrid cloud.  Create cloud-based networks of practically unlimited size and connect them to existing infrastructure in the corporate, partner, and/or customer datacenters without the need for expensive telco contracts and equipment.

VNS was born out of direct interaction with some of our key foundation VPN-Cubed customers.  Since the launch of VPN-Cubed we have accumulated more than half million hours of customer usage in the cloud.  With the experience from VPN-Cubed and as the enterprise continues its migration to agile infrastructure, VNS is the answer to secure and controlled networks for the production cloud deployment.

The cloud creates great opportunity for virtualized services and datacenters but needs corresponding network flexibility.  VNS provides a hybrid resource network between the datacenter and the cloud deployment plus an access network connecting that resource pool to users, regardless of their location.  As cloud adoption increases more and more organizations will look to deploying this hybrid cloud model where compute resources are spread between owned or leased datacenter and public cloud facilities. VNS uses a combination of virtual routers, virtual switches, SSL VPN concentrators, IPSecVPN concentrators, and protocol re-distributors configured in a mesh.  Such hybridization with VNS controlled connections make the datacenter and public cloud deployments appear as a single resource pool.
