Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud™ (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides re-sizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers. The AWS EC2 Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) offering enables users to create a virtual network topology—including subnets and route tables—for EC2 resources. VPC offers control over the level of security for a given deployment as well as security for each instance.
As Amazon Web Service partners and the leader in virtual networking, CohesiveFT has been an innovator and collaborator in the direction of VPC since its inception. VPC and VPN-Cubed provide a powerful combination of platform networking (VPC) and instance-based virtual networking (VPN-Cubed) security and control. Launching a VPN-Cubed VPCplus Network creates a deployment profile that is arguably more secure than traditional owned datacenter deployments by giving users control of addressing, protocol and topology.
VPC deployments using VPN-Cubed vpcPLUS Features allow for all the security and isolation normally available in a VPC deployment but with significant additional benefits.

Connect Mulitple IPsec Gateways to your VPC Deployment VPN-Cubed VPCplus Manager instances provide a VPN endpoint that can connect to multiple IPsec Gateways. IPsec tunnels are negotiated with the VPN-Cubed Manager which serves as a user-controlled, virtualized switch/router (a "uSwitch") inside the VPC. VPC deployed servers can communicate with multiple IPsec Gateways via endpoint-to-endpoint encrypted connections.

Enable the use of Multicast inside EC2 and VPC A surprising number of applications built for virtual infrastructure but not cloud infrastructure REQUIRE multicast protocols in order to function. This is also true of many enterprise software packages (grid computing packages, database clusters, wikis and more). VPN-Cubed VPCplus allows multicast traffic to be routed inside a VPC deployment.

Make IPsec connections using Leading Security Appliances Make secure and encrypted IPsec tunnel connections to existing network security appliances like Cisco ASA, Juniper, Netscreen, and SonicWall. When you use VPN-Cubed vpcPLUS IPsec connections can be made to your VPC deployment without the need for BGP.

Securely link your VPC deployment to other Regions and Availability Zones VPN-Cubed vpcPLUS Manager instances can be connected or "peered" with other VPN-Cubed topologies running outside of VPC deployments. Extend a virtual network across regions and between VPC and non-VPC deployments allowing access to EC2 products/services like spot instances, cluster instances, micro instances, DevPay, and servers managed by ELB.

Federate your VPC deployments running in different AWS Regions Multiple VPC deployments can be linked via peered VPN-Cubed vpcPLUS Manager instances via encrypted connections. Extend connectivity between VPC deployments in disparate AWS Regions allowing for geographic distribution without sacrificing security and control.
